Tour Itinerary

Every day of your trip has been thoughtfully designed to ensure an unforgettable experience. Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire national park

After a short briefing in the morning, you will head off in direction of the Tarangire National Park. The park with its Savannah, baobab trees, seasonal swamps is home to huge elephant herds. Animals gather at the life-giving Tarangire River and you should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffes, bush-bucks and hartebeests to zebras and warthogs. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon you will leave the park and head to a Twiga lodge and campsite, where you will spend the night in a room. Lunch; Dinner.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast you will leave the area around Tarangire National Park and head to the multicultural village of Mto wa Mbu.The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara covers a large area of the park and it is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos – an awesome (pink) sight. However more than 500 other bird species are also found here as well as some wonderful mammals. Troops of monkeys live in the forests, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests on the grassy plains and elephants and lions in the acacia woodlands. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to watch the animals and absorb the landscape. Furthermore, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while but cheetahs are rarely spotted. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the afternoon and return to Arusha by early evening. Breakfast; Lunch.
